‘How can you create unique dining experiences using food as a medium?’ I decided to base my project on this because of my personal attachment to being creative with food. Food is something we all consume and interact with every day, and it starts conversations and bonds: from dates, family dinners, birthday parties, weddings or picnics I believe that food can be memorable and has the potential to be an artistic medium. Therefore, as an artist I have always been interested in elevating this day to day product to create edible still life installations. Its temporal quality makes it a unique art medium, as, like a performance piece or some landscape art, after it’s gone it only exists through documentation, which can be seen in my works ‘The cave by the sea’ and ‘the garden of eden’. The floral sculptures by Ollie Wiggins works well due to similar qualities in mediums, we decided to collaborate with these projects.
