How can design be used to promote inclusivity and challenge issues of representation? This was the question I sought to explore through my IPS. Through my practice I focus on racial and socio-economical representation, and I try to address issues of racial diversity in the design industry. It is important for us as creatives to understand why representation matters and to be aware of what we can do to create positive change. I plan to continue my exploration into issues of race and representation after graduation, in order to be a part of the changes I want to see happen in the design industry.
